Hi! I’m Jeannie
Home
Hi. Welcome to my website and thank you for your interest. My name is Jeannie, and I’m from Baton Rouge, LA. I have been a health and fitness enthusiast my entire life. I began practicing Pilates over 10 years ago when my body was exhausted, and my joints ached from excessive cardio exercise and long-distance running. I quickly realized Pilates was a gentle form of movement that can be practiced consistently and long-term without fatiguing the muscles and over-stressing the body, while improving posture, strength, stability and so much more. My love for Pilates led me to become a certified Peak Pilates instructor, teaching in Houston for over 5 years. I continue to further my Pilates knowledge through specific workshops and advanced training, focusing on different Pilates apparatuses and specialized practices catering to the physical needs of various populations.
As a Certified Public Accountant, I am meticulous and trained to pay attention to fine details. I have naturally transitioned these skills to closely studying my clients’ bodies and helping them identify imbalances and areas needing more strength, flexibility, stamina, etc. I adhere to the classical method of Pilates, as created by Joseph Pilates, while supplementing with contemporary, and other appropriate, movement patterns to cater to my clients’ specific needs and abilities.
I love teaching because I enjoy meeting new people and most importantly, helping them feel better both physically and emotionally. It makes me smile, knowing my clients are happy to see me; whereas, as a former financial auditor, they were never happy to see me!
